FILET OF SOUL CULINARY INSTITUTE (FOSCI)

About FOSCI

In October of 2017, Filet of Soul formed a partnership with the Charles A. Melton Center and Chester County's Workforce Development Board to open Filet of Soul Culinary Institute (FOSCI) at the Melton Center. FOSCI provides economically disadvantaged youth (ages 14-24) with culinary education and skills, assistance in obtaining a food handler's certificate, and paid work experience opportunities so that they can secure food service jobs after program participation. FOSCI also provides certification, paid training opportunities and employment to dislocated workers and individuals with barriers to traditional employment. In addition, FOSCI offers health and wellness classes, and distributes charitable meals to low-income seniors and families.
